This is Elon Musk, inherited billionaire and President Trump's right-hand man. On Monday, January 20, 2025, Elon spoke at the President's inaguration ceremony. After musing that some elections do not matter, Elon proudly displayed two Nazi salutes to a roaring audience. With fingers together, the right hand of an increasingly deranged oligarch touched his heart, and was then thrust straight outwards; a symbol which is exclusively defined and identified as the salute to Adolf Hitler.
In the following days, President Trump's closest advisors have publicly stated that what we saw, we did not see. They cite the Roman salute, the inspiration behind the Nazi salute. The Roman salute is historically known as the Fascist salute, and did not start with a hand on the heart until the Nazi's party adoption. Musk himself has lashed out against his detractors for believing that "everyone is Hitler", but has actively avoided claiming that it was not, in fact, a Nazi salute.
